Municipal Waste es una banda estadounidense más específicamente de Richmond Virginia. Su estilo varia de Thrash Metal a Punk. Son considerados como los líderes de una escena que crece muy rápido y que lo buscan es resucitar el Crossover de los años 80. La banda es bien conocida por sus canciones de corta duración que tratan temas que van desde alcohol, fiestas y diversión hasta mutantes post-apocalipticos (Hazardous Mutation) Entre sus principales influencias esta Suicidal tendencies, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles (D.R.I), Nuclear Assault. Un cambio de formación sucede en el 2002 cuando Brendan Trache abandona a la banda, y es remplazado por Brandon Ferrell, después de este cambio, sacan "Tango and Thrash", antes de realizar "Waste 'em all" en 6 semanas.En el 2005 Municipal Waste firma con Earache records y graban el álbum "Hazardous Mutation". A finales del 2005 Municipal Waste saca a la luz el video para "Unleash the bastards" En el 2006 Municipal Waste tocó con "Sick of it all", alrededor de Europa, también lo hizo en Australia
